Because they are practiced by using needle and other instruments that damage the body and affect the blood, tattoos, piercing and branding may be the risk of contamination or infection.

The indications against

To respect basic hygiene prior
Regarding the tattoo or piercing, do it by practicing professionals; avoid flea markets or other places lax hygiene.
Before leaving your skin to a specialist, do not hesitate to inspect the conditions of reception and to ask questions for the health precautions taken: single-use needles in sterile packaging, clips and nozzles sterilized in an autoclave and sterilizer. No exposure to the sun or before healing baths
Another essential condition: do not do your tattoo if you know that you will expose the tattooed sun in months - or even better two months - following. It must be perfect healing and deep before.

Some basic rules

* To break the skin, the saline preference and clean with soap (Cythéal) or apply antiseptic lotion (Daseptyl);
* Repeat the process several times a day by reducing the frequency until complete healing;
* Keep your skin in perfect hygienic conditions: it must be ventilated, not too oily nor too dry, be careful not to become infected, leaving the scar infectious agents entering the wound dust, clothing soiled tissue irritants (wool …);
* Do not expose to sunlight or UV sun, do not take baths until complete healing;
* Do not scratch or remove the skins that form on the tattoo: It stands out for themselves;
* For the piercing of the tongue, mouth, applications of ice and non-spicy foods are recommended, to the navel, not wearing seat belts, avoid tight at the waist. Finally, avoid friction and close-ratio during the consolidation period: the piercing is still very fragile for a week and a half.
